Well, the van is loaded, clothes and all other necessities are packed, all that’s left is the coolers, the dogs, and me. The babies had baths tonite, so we can at least start the trip clean, I don’t expect them to stay that way. I will stop in Fort Worth in the morning, just long enough to pick up my rescue hitch hiker, and then be on my way in earnest. I hope to make it to either Memphis or Nashville and stop for some sleep. A lot will depend on how many times the babies think they need to stop and potty before I get to Mary’s house. The drive up will be a real bear, but I will be there for a few days to see the sights, which is something I am REALLY looking forward to. I am also really looking forward to visiting with Mary and Deb.
It looks like I might be taking a side trip on the way back, to visit another friend in North Carolina. Little cabin in the mountains, good fishing, and we might get to do a little hunting too. Sounds like fun to me. From there I will stop at Sandra’s and pick up Sonnet. CJ is going to hang out at Camp Moore and do some dog show type stuff. I will probably spend the night there, then make the push for home. Then it will be back to work for me, but I bet I will be a lot more relaxed than when I left 🙂
